Waterford recieved 27.5 million euro under the Transport 21 Scheme, the construction is to start immediatly, with the new road to the airport linking up to the outer ring road to cork and dubin, things may be heading the airports way, they plan to extend the current 1433 x 35?m runway into a 1850m X 45m runway, with extra parking space for aircraft, and of course a terminal extension.
