Very good, I'm not criticising just raising a couple of additional points, pinnacle capture cards are firewire cards not usb, usb is a bit slow I believe. . .. .I would recommend at least HDD of ata100 bus speed as anything less may not be able to keep up with the capture rate.. .. .It should also be pointed out that in the EU DV cameras are not always DV in enabled, this is due to taxation class and bumps the price up, however it is possible to make them DV in capable, that's if you want to output back to tape.. .. .As you say be careful not all DVD players will play CDR's this is due to laser strength and the reflectivity of the CDR.
