You are right that LBBB is worse that RBBB.
LBBB when it presents almost always indicates that there is something ominous underlying and therefore is treated seriously in anyone that has it.
By contrast, RBBB can be a finding in otherwise normal hearts though there could be a problem that may require investigation. Indeed you could be born with as in DH's case.
Both conditions tend to be asymptomatic, so would probably be an incidental finding on your annual ECG.
