evansb's challenge
My first thoughts were that it was possibly the Convair Sea Dart but the canopy was totally different. I would that the Avro CF-105 Arrow seems to fit the bill as that certainly had a split canopy.
Yes it is definately the Avro CF-105 Arrow.
