These are not rumors ou are discribing, but hard facts. Moritz Suter was CEO of Crossair and hard 3 hull losses, 2 with dead people, and Andre Dose was Head of flight ops at that time.
They are still both under prosecution in Switzerland for those event...
Quite scary, and here they are both involved again in airline business
