Bearcat, I think you are quite right.

There is much more than weather to blame. Attempting to do a flight in bad weather means additional resources are needed.

The fact that JetBlue didn't allocate those resources is quite bad.

In other words: jetblue gambled that the wx would be better and that the flights could go easily...if they won, they would have made money...if they cancelled the flights like many other airlines, they would have lost.

8 hours on a plane is too much, sorry.

AND that Port Authority had to take the pax off instead of pulling up to a gate is even more disturbing.


JETBLUE is a low cost carrier...maybe it is low cost due to low resources for non routine ops.

IF Bearcat would like to send a private message, I would like to chat on the subject.

And I admire those who took there own initiative to try to make things better...a classy airline woule reimburse the sandwich buyer.
