Post Inaccurate press reporting of B'ham Biz Jet crash investigation

Once again 'the experts' have excelled themselves with a masterpiece of rubbish reporting.

Much in the same vein of a certain 'aviation expert' from Flight International being wheeled out in front of the cameras when opinion is needed, Chris Yates (what is his experience that makes him an expert?)was on the box (BBC 1) tonight, spurting drivel.

The topic was the publication of an initial AAIB report suggesting that icing was to blame for the aforementioned Challenger crash at Birmingham in January (it didn’t, it was only a factual events summary, see the link below)

Mr Yates stated that ‘the crew should have seen from the weather forecast that there might have been ice on the wings’....also that they ‘should have used the aircraft systems in the cockpit to clear the ice on the wings’.

So whats happened to the Mk 1 eyeball and the de-ice truck then Mr Yates?

What utter BS.
