Galdian, interesting point. I do believe the doom and gloom is a little excessive.

As for the QF Group, its not one airline, does not have one AOC. The application of the above suggestion (outsourcing pilots) is an extemely difficult, and in most cases impossible task. I realise that its currently practice at Australian Airlines, keep in mind that they are operating AA aircraft (at least aircraft on the AA AOC) on behalf of QF. The chance of J* operating 787s on QFs behalf is entirely possible, I will concede this. As for the A380, I doubt, given the time frame and movement in mainline thus far, that the same will happen.

I may be optimistic, but I believe the future is a little brighter than many choose to believe. QF is still a formidable airline, and I think its disrespect to those who work for QF to suggest there is no longer place for pride.
