"Has any one used their Emergency for real?"

I may be wrong but as I recall Q Smith and Steve Brookes may have used one to get help when they ditched in Drake's passage 3 or 4 years ago (on their first attempt to reach the pole in G-NUDE, an R44). Apparently the water was rather cold.

Alan Sugar has one if you look at his wrist next time the apprentice comes on...if things get really heated in the boardroom he can just untwist the bezel, pull out the aerial and await rescue (or a large bill! (which I am sure he can afford!!)).

I'm a Rolex datejust man personally, these specialist pilot watches are all a bit complicated for me, I am sure they are a great help though if you can be bothered to read the instructions and fly an aircraft equiped with an autopilot.

Ho Hum,
