Cycles rather than hours are limiting factors for most transport aircraft hulls. Cycles are a count of the number of takeoffs and landings done by the airframe.
One cycle is equal to one takeoff and landing combined. (always a good combination)
One the other hand, actual operating hours are used as 'wear indicators' for most of the machinery aboard including the engines.
