Hi Bear Cub

Honestly I am not a know it all - just want to be helpful. This refers to Word 97, haven't got around to upgrading yet, but I imagine that this aspect hasn't changed.

When you create a new document in WORD it uses a style template called "normal". You may see it on the toolbar next to the font that the style is using.

To change any of the attributes of this style do the following.

Open Word
Select FORMAT - Style...
Normal should be selected automatically in the the window that opens from the list on the left of the window.
Click MODIFY
Then Click on FORMAT - a drop down list appears
Select PARAGRAPH
Under the indents and spacing tab
Select the alignment you want - Justified
Then click on OK
Select the tick box ADD TO TEMPLATE
Then click OK
Then click Apply

Close word, it may ask you to save changes to document 1, say no.
Then fire word up again and hey presto it will default to justified.

You can then use the same process to change any of the attributes to the normal style, font, tabs, size etc.

Sad bast*&^ for an ATCO I am.
