Accessing image files
Gurus front and centre, please!
Have recently recovered a friend's hard drive which had become impossible to boot into (W95). I strapped it (literally) onto one of my desktops, transferred the files onto my HD and then burned them to CD ROM. Re-installed W95 and it now boots up OK.
However, the said computer was supplied without any original software disks (other than 95) and this software is needed to access the data files. One of the transferred files was in its own 'IMAGE' directory and ran to about 500Mbs. I am guessing that this directory contains a back-up copy of all his op system files. He has a supplied reboot floppy which offers several options for recovering the original set-up but his computer can't read the 'IMAGE' files although they are perfectly see-able on my machine and the office desk-top. The machine was produced by Time, who now "know nothing" - at least nothing helpful. Any thoughts as to how to make the recovery floppy 'see' the 'image' files, please?
