They do have an Australian AOC
The owner of Airwork is one of the owners of Alliance so if they want/need an Australian AOC, they've got one. However I believe under the Trans-Tasmain agreement they can operate under their NZ AOC.
With the B737 operation and with addtional F100's on the way, the Airwork/Alliance group is on it's way to being a rather large operation.
