Okay, cracked the problem. Still had the fault, but solved by going to:
<a href="http://www.btopenworld.com/mybtopenworld/software_update" target="_blank">http://www.btopenworld.com/mybtopenworld/software_update</a>
You should find a box in the middle of the screen titled:
‘Dial-in Software for BT Openworld Anytime’
Follow the instructions and the new software will download in about 1 min. After that, no further problems.
