Js aren't going to become one big wing for the same reason the K's never did. Or the Tornados. Or Jags. Or or or. Smaller sqns exist for lots of reasons including things like personnel management and making sure there are enough sqn beer calls.
MOG - there are still only 2 J sqns. Unless something dramatic happened after half four this afternoon when I left "work".....
