I hope that isn't the case, I can't find anything myself to find a minimum age other than 16 because an NI number is needed with the application.
The retail outlet I am applying to says minimum age 16 and their chain is only in airports so maybe the minimum age is 16 for an ID.
I'm going to call later today to confirm most of my questions in this thread!
