BA are the only airline taking the hit for those who booked before the date (maybe the learnt after the attempts of downgrading luggage allowances of those who had already paid). Unfortunately the current strike threats somewhat overwhelm the good publicity they could have got - doesnt matter much saving a bit of tax if you cant get on the plane.
Apparently the tax is illegal anyway as it hasnt been voted on by Parliament yet.
