The Norgies could do a lot worse than an immediate purchase of the C130J. It's a proven platform that will do pretty much everything they need, today. Whilst I'm a fan of the A400M idea (hankering after initial cadre if anyone's reading this by the way
) it is still some way off and, if the J is anything to go by, it'll be a while before it gets enough clearances to do useful stuff.

our AT requirements, a few more
Js would be nice along with the conversion of a whole bunch of K crews; there's a lot of experience over there that could be put to very good use over here
