The only thing further I could find was the following article :
http://support.microsoft.com/support...S_MSPSS_gn_SRC H&SPR=W95

( the above URL appears to be too long to work in here. Copy it too your clipboard and paste it into a browser window. Make sure there are no spaces in it and it should work )

The registry is where all your system settings are stored. When a program is installed on your machine it adds entries into the registry. The article says that you should be able to stop the pop up coming up from there ( which makes a lot of sense to me )

BE CAREFUL...... read the help files mentioned in the link first, and make sure that you write down what things were before you change them.( so you can change them back if you need to )

Don't be scared about changing registry settings, just be methodical.

This is the danger of running "free" ISP software on your machine I'm afraid, they try and "help" you by changing lots of things, but then don't give you way back.

It might be time for that fresh rebuild. If you bought your PC from a high street shop it probably came with a disk that will take your machine back to factory settings. If not, you need to read up on how to format your hard drive, and re build your OS.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but this is about as far as I can take it without being sat at the machine myself.

I will keep an eye on the thread in case you need any more help.

Good luck
