Interestingly, I was on a flight into AMS last night, the captain came on the PA to ask everyone to remain seated while the GPU was connected up, and lo and behold not a single person moved! I think this is as much to do with people's general respect for CC as anything else - most pax just assume they are just trolly dollies without any authority or safety role...
