CAAS do not recognise the FAA pilot's licence. SIA did a deal with the FAA due to their N registered planes whereby SIA pilots could hold a temporary FAA license, based on the validity of their CAAS licence AND their SIA employment.
When I left SIA the FAA cancelled my FAA license which I held BEFORE I joined SIA.
