Its actually not disimilar to a liitle strip just north of your present locale called Fairview - had to take a Dept of Transport joker in there in a 172 a while ago. Side of a hill, ravine at the end with HUGE roiled up and downdrafts out of it - gotta take off uphill or end up in all sorts of trouble in the weird air currents.
