To all my friends over the whole African continent, I notice that nobody has wished us a collective
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007
So from a silly old fart who loves Africa like his mother, may I wish all of you, no matter where you are in Africa, no matter what you do, whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Agnostic, or any other faith (or lack thereof), I wish you whatever you wish for yourself as long as it is peaceful and that this year will be a better one than its predecessor. Africa is the forgotten continent to the news media. Our fears, sufferings and aspirations are as nothing to the world outside, but that is their loss.
