If you're TRSS which I'm presuming you are you won't go on the payroll until you have completed pre-base training which occurs soon after the LST on the sim. In other words, you have to fend for yourself for approx three months.
Airbus course is done with CTC - I believe the sim is at Nursling or GECAT?? Not sure about Airbus tho. . .
CTC do provise accom and food, so no dramas there.
'DTD' is right regarding the training schedule - Mon-Fri, weekends off. Even our sim's were Mon-Fri too with the exception of the LST.
TRSS tend to get priority over the CTC cadets regarding base training as they're on the payroll straight after training whereas CTC cadets are still paid by CTC for six months or so......
