All Irish regional airports have applied for funding under transport 21.
Waterford has applied for a jet runway, ramp extension and terminal extension. The results should be announced in the next two weeks.
If the funding for the runway is approved it is expected to be completed by should be completed during 2009. Terminal work would start straigh away.
