Another advantage of HUY is that Jet 2 are already a well known brand on both banks of the Humber - there is heavy advertising of their LBA services - so advertising HUY services at the same time wouldn't incur any major additional expense
Furthermore a one aircraft (B737, not B757) base with routes to PMI/ALC/Murcia/Malaga 3/4 times a week each would be easy to fill just from the Humberside area alone. It also wouldn't seriously impact on the same Jet 2 routes from LBA or annoy TOM at DSA too much
Also look at what Jet 2 have done at BLK, while maintaining their MAN operations. HUY could be a similar scenario for Jet 2
A Jet 2 base at HUY seems like a very good idea to me
