Mil-i is for inspection mil-c is for calibration , neither of these concern the effectiveness or otherwise of the design . Just that parts have been made and inspected according to the approved technical data and that all applicable test equipment is calibrated .Iso 9002 is now obsolete and has been replaced by iso 9001-2000. Iso 9001 again is for manufacturing not design.
