Your citation you mention had to divert to Channel Islands after being refused, another one soon after had to divert to Lydd (of all places).
Earlier in the afternoon there where Eastern Jetstreams and Flybe DHC8 called up which divert elsewhere.
The day before the Flybes got refused and ended up in Exeter Bristol and Birmingham.
Southampton however accepted over 20 corporate diversion aircraft yesterday with all the problems they had.
