I'm pretty sure that an FAA CPL/IR would not be accepted for ATP entry. If you look at CTC's website, you'll see that one of the minimum requirements for ATP entry is a JAA CPL/IR.
Regarding cadet entry, I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall that the maximum age for the scheme is around 30. Try reading the original thread more slowly. It should answer all your questions.
