Expatula, it makes perfectly sense to run a base on lower costs than others. I do confirm that it is the intention of Tiger to give pilots based in CRK local salaries, which are about the same as Air Asia, most of Indonesian carriers, i.e. about half of what you get in Singapore (Jetstar, Silkair, Tiger).
