So Peel Holdings, a company making millions of pounds, can't afford the additional £3million for increased security? What a load of cr4p! Just how much are the turnstiles going to cost and maintain? What happens when they, like so much of the meccano set that is Liverpool Aiport, fails and/or falls apart.
I have had the misfortune to use the collection of portakabins that mascarade as an airport by the side of the river Mersey on more than one occasion lately. I'm happy to say I will never, as long as I have breath in my body, be lining Peel Holdings pockets with my hard earned. This airport is an embarrassment to aviation, and this latest con to extract money from passengers shows the airport owners up for the money grabbing incompetants that they are.
Oh, and not content with banning private taxis from the front of the airport building they now propose charging black cabs £2,400 per year for the honour of picking up passengers! This place really does beggar belief.
