Looking at the scales below:
A 4 year Cathay S/O earns slightly more than a 3 Year EK F/O.
A Cathay F/O earns more than a starting EK Captain
'Obviously' Ek provides quicker promotion but a 3 Year Cathay Captain earns as much as a 13 Year Emirates Captain.
So whoever made the above * statement was nearly telling the truth. At least closer to the truth than EK when they spout about their basket of airlines and a competitive salary.
