For those pilots who have been contacting me privately asking more about Royal Brunei, I can tell you the following;. .I spoke with the boss yesterday and prospects for expat employment are not good. We might be looking to employ about 4 expat pilots this year. The rest of RBA's pilot recruitment needs will be met by Bruneian pilots coming back from training in the U.K. Any expat pilots will be selected from the books of Rishworth, and as they now have type rated and experienced B 767 drivers on their books, the chances of a zero hour type rated B 767 pilot getting a start now are as close to zero as makes no difference.. .In short, do not go and buy a B767 rating with the hope of getting a job with Royal Brunei in mind.. .Sorry if I built up any false hopes.. .Good luck anyway.
