It is tough getting into Singapore Airlines if you do not possess thousands of hours under your belt. I believe they recruit expats purely for the left hand seat. Note, I m no airline pilot. I m a local with an Aussie CPL and yet I do not even get a chance to go for the 1st interview for their cadet pilot programme.
