Previous time x country was at Tamworth joint military college where a GFPT only was issued. At the college they did 1.9 hours solo x country.
This person has been told by an aero that the 1.9 hours x country at tamworth does not count.
This person has also been told that he has to do a five hour nav before being issued with a full PPL and the 1.9 he has previously does not count.

It could be that since the school is not authorised to train students for PPL, it could invalidate it for requirements purposes. Either that or their trying to bleed him. Tell him to keep his feelers frosty. Any sign of dishonesty - tell him to get out of there fast.
I've also heard of schools that hold your training records if you transfer to other flying schools.
What did the aeroclub say ?
