Britannia are screwed. Pilots on top money with final salary pension schemes to shame BA yet all they do is fly a small number of ageing 757/767's from regional airports. The majority of their pax are package holiday makers, they are owned by a German industrial comglomerate and they offer a product which is part no frill seat only, part build your own holiday and part all inclusive tour. They do long, medium and shorthaul on their 737/757/767's.
Would you ever start with a clean sheet of paper and end up designing a business like this?
