Am a bit perplexed as to why the article that the 4,000 jobs at TUi UK possibly going, instantly means that Thomsonfly will stop, and all the flights shall be Tuifly?

The simple fact of the matter is that at present with the decline in numbers of package holidays being sold in general, Thomson(fly) is looking at using the dynamic packaging way of booking a holiday, whereby a customer will choose the dates they want to travel and the accomodation they want....gradually phasing out the package holiday. Therefore, if anything then it will be more the package holiday side if things that shall be looking at job losses....the Glasgow call centre being the first unfortunate victim. Will there be the need for so many reps abroad (employed by TUi UK), if people book just flight and accomodation? Will tehre be a need for those who produce the glossy magazines to sell the package deals?

The job losses at TUi UK, do not necessarily mean the end of the airline, but whoever the unfortunate alleged 4,000 might be, then my thoughts go to them and their families.
