Well, anyone dealing with stability really doesn't talk about centre of pressure - it's a pretty pointless concept, to be brutally honest - but;

As the CP (aerodynamic centre/neutral point) moves aft, the aircraft gets more stable longitudinally.

directly? Not one iota. The statments about increasing thrust and being more stable are actually referring to the effect of airspeed/Mach number on stability, and have little or nothing to do with stability.
