Just curious about this one... It's starting to sound like languages are a disadvantage! Do you think they are worth mentioning at an interview, and how fluent do you have to be to be considered fluent? I mean I've met crew that struggle a tad with the English.
Crew fluent in, eg, German - how many Hamburg-JFK, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zürich etc flights would you have to take on? Does this make it harder to bid for specific flights to Asia, Africa, Oz, other parts of Europe?
