Doesn't that really grip your $hite. C'mon chaps, you must know at least a few BEngOs who, like me, have done their 6 year SSC and are forced to leave, despite wanting to remain in the Air Force they love - all because OASC in their wisdom played a lottery for SSCs and PCs for ground branches. Having to leave on a SSC was bad enough, seeing some of the incompetent gits with PCs staying in was harder, learning that the only JO Eng's with SSCs getting offered extensions have bumpy jumpers makes you suspicious but to then learn that the recruiters are still having the gall to say we are desperate for engineers...
really made my monday that. Civvy st. bah, 6 grand pay-cut and treated like a mushroom.
The grass is not always greener - remember that if you have of choice of jumping ship or not.
