Congrats on your decision.
It's as bad as they say, and it's as good as they say. With a positive outlook, and quite a bit of persistance you will find your way into a seat. It won't be easy, far from it in actual fact, but anything worthwhile is never easy. Although the pay isn't the greatest, it can be highly rewarding and fun. Just remember that it will take persistance to get that first job, but if you keep smiling, and a positive attitude then you will eventually succeed.
