Probably a little off course from what you meant, but one of the guys I work with just locked himself out of his intranet, so he phoned the new number for a helpdesk 'somewhere' (i.e. no longer on camp), spoke to a computer for several minutes, then got through to a human, who transferred him to someone else - who happened to be in a building not far from where he was sat, manning a helpdesk that we used to call!! I
know that this doesn't follow LEAN principles, as it's introduced work steps that add no value - but you've just gotta love
