Cool

Sweetpollypurebred, you're wrong, there are left hand seat jobs in Japan paying in excess of $19,000 at the moment, I assure you of that, & they are contract positions.

Tonylollo, I'm well aware of the cost of living in Japan as I am now based here; you are correct: it is expensive but that fact doesn't 'halve' the salary: some of the available contracts are for commuting positions anyway.

Capt Chambo, if you interviewed for the position & the salary on offer was for $14,500 with ANK I stand corrected. I met with a group of their expat pilots in Shinagawa; they told me that their renumeration package was in the region of $19,000 per annum & that they would be moving over to the -700 in the near future. Mind you, they had 'blown the froth off a few' when I saw them!
