Spinney being sarcastic.....never! He's been in the Gulf off and on since the late '70's and definately has his fingers on the pulse. However, ADA do have a number of VFR pilots working in Iran. Ex long-line Yemen drivers without any IR or even night ratings, dangerous work out there at night with an Iranian co-pilot sharing the duties. An accident waiting to happen....24 hour duty days for weeks on end! I guess it comes back to "supply and demand" at the end of the day. Oh yeah, one more thing from ADA, the latest attempt to give their pilots a pay rise was turned down yet again by the 3rd floor. Too bad, but their management has to make up the "Missing Millions" one way or the other.
