Essendon charges - How are they calculated??

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone out there knew exactly how the approach/landing etc charges at Essendon are calculated?

I did call them last week and was advised that it is $15/1000kg, but I queried further and asked what the cost for a Warrior or Arrow might be - and was advised that it "averaged about $15.00". I asked if I could have further information about charges sent to me and was told "no"!

The problem is, we need to charge our customers exactly the right amount and not some "average" figure, so a formula or something would be helpful. I'm led to believe that the landing fee is made up of an 'approach fee' and the 'landing fee' - i.e.

Piper Arrow: Approach fee - $11.89
landing fee - $22.00
Total - $33.89

But if the wheels don't actually touch the runway, you are only charged the $11.89 approach fee.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
