From another website, giving the same video reference to the F/A 18 landing sideways. It appears that he lost air from a tyre rather than gaining air from the wind.

I almost forgot...this happened at the airshow this weekend. An F/A-18 Super Hornet was coming in to land and blew a tire. It was definitely not planned, but I love how the announcer acts like he knows exactly what's going on.
In all honesty though, the pilots did a pretty sweet job of getting it under control and not hitting the Blue Angels parked to the right of the aircraft.
