Can of worms

G'day Susie,

There have been plenty of Prune threads on Moorabbin flying schools. AFAIK, most have been about ab-initio through to CPL, and not MECIR.

I'm not sure what you're after; most people will either strongly recommend the place that they learnt at, or strongly diss that place, depending on their experience there. You wont find many balanced opinions, as most people wouldn't have personal experience of more than one (or two) of the schools there.

(Apologies in advance to anyone with personal experience of several of the schools - I've seen around 5 of them at close hand).

IMHO, PBAFT would still be the place to do your MECIR at Moorabbin. They're still operating, even with the new ownership.

I'd also suggest that you give Malcolm Sharp a call down in Hamilton. They used to offer an MECIR plus a PA31 endorsement plus some PA31 ICUS time for a reasonable rate. This would give you MECIR as well as plenty of real IFR time in RPT and charter conditions in a PA31.

PM me if you'd like more details

DIVOSH!

P.S. I am no longer associated with any of the MB schools or at Sharps
