This has turned to be a really interesting topic.
Just a clarification. People some times confuse having Navigation quipement with being "IFR" equipped.
So I might be flying in a Cessna, that is not IFR equipped, but that has an ADF, VOR/DME etc...
I can't comment further since I really can't
