They're gonna close the tower here in less than two years, and replace it with something more cost effective. Two years ago, our little single 'plane corporate operation was budgeted at about $80 K per year for landing /user fees etc. For 2001, it's gonna cost about $350 K, and I'll be damned if I can see any improvement in service. I was at the COPA meeting in UL two years ago, and the head honcho of NavCan told the audience that if there was "a shortfall of funds" the corporate aviation community would be invoiced to cover it. Can you imagine going to one of your clients and telling them "sorry, I've screwed up, and you gotta pay"? You would be kicked so hard, you'd think you had a shoe factory up your ass.
