Sign in is ONE hour before some like to call it REPORT time!!
This is what is used as the start time for your duty!! And your FDP(max flight duty period is calculated from this time!! )
Company picks us up from Accomodation 2hrs 15 mins before report time plus ONE hour. In many cases arriving at briefing up to 2hours before departure!! OR 1 hout before your OFFICIAL report time which is used for !!!!!!!!!! See above paragraph!!
Official GCAAor CAA documentation or FOM or FLIGHT OPERATIONS MANUAL has us completing our flight briefings and crew briefings and ON the CREW bus going to the aircraft 75mins before departure time OR 15 mins before our REPORT time which as we now know is used to calculate our !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guessed it out MAX FDP or max flight duty period.
So the company gets away with approx 30 to 40 mins every flight!! can you see the big numbers !!!
